Mental Monster Mash: BRAIN FOOD!

Mmmmmmm!
So, I don't have classes today, and I decided I wanted to experiment with something new for lunch. I made a (large!) variation on Iowa Girl Eats' Green Monster recipe…and completely mixed it around. (I can't ever seem to actually follow a recipe!)

Before I show you what I made, a reminder that SOPA and PIPA are still a threat. If we want internet free speech, we need to stress to the US congress members how important this issue is. There's even some Republicans and Democrats agreeing on this, so you know it's big!
Google has a petition you can sign, and I was able to, even though I'm not in the US. It's worth a shot.

So, here's what I made today!

1 sliced banana
1 tbsp organic peanut butter

Frappe this in your blender, the mix will be very thick and rich.

1 cup Greek yogurt
2 tbsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup (plain) almond milk

Mix this in using the frappe/liquify function.

1 tbsp raspberry jam
1 cup frozen blueberries

Liquify this in, too.

2-5 handfuls of spinach

Throw these in whole, push them down with a rubber spatula, and mix.

Add more or less spinach, milk and yogurt for differing thicknesses. I will also add less bananas next time—I could taste them in the end, and I really don't like the flavour. And maybe less blueberries—I couldn't really taste them, but the colour was funky. As I was blending the last bits, I was throwing more and more spinach in…it's so good for you, and the taste was great!
Three Awesome Mini-Meals: Check!

Next time, I think I'll try my Ten Thousand Villages mango jam—mmmm!

This was supposed to make one serving, but for me I got three. Either I have a huuuuuge blender, or my glasses are really small. I think it's the latter. Oh well—I have breakfast for my exam days coming up, ready made! Hurrah!

What's your favourite at-home smoothie recipe?
Happy blending!

Good To The Last Drop!
